Terrorist Crossroads

Overview & Background
The local population of Yvetot has complained to the Commissar that they are being terrorised by rebel insurgents, and that they have set up a roadblock at this intersection. Satellite imagery has also identified that they are using this farm as a staging area.

You have attached armour, a mortar team, and artillery support: You are Battlegroup Oleg.

You will clear these areas of the terrorist pigs.

We are trying to win the hearts and minds of the local population so:

DO NOT KILL ANY CIVILIANS!

Objectives
1. Clear Yvetot.
2. Clear the intersection and the farm.

Is the mission still ending immediately after a civilian has been killed? If this is the case Marto I ask you to change this so that only a hint will be displayed because it is very annoying when a mission suddenly ends like this.
I'll change it to an objective - no civ casualties.

If there are any civillian casualties, then the mission will continue but it will be a failure in the debriefing....
Apperantly no one wants to be Platoon Commander so I will take this enjoyable slot.

As long as the majority of the slots is not filled and I don't know how many players there will be in each group and if the crew slots will be occupied it is not necessary to make a (detailed) plan.
But the basic plan will be to move mounted into a covered position north of the 'nipples', then dismount and do a quick reconnaissance from the top of the 'nipples'. After that we will split up into one supporting and one attacking element.
Rules of engagement: do not use any high explosive fires (handgrenades, mortars, HEAT rounds,...) near the farm, Yvetot and any other structure which might be hospitable to civilians.
No worries Zwobot.

I slotted myself as platoon sgt and radio operator to control the artillery, alternatively I can slot in as one of the squad leaders if needed, and take a spare radio from the command vehicle.

If we don't get enough players then we can do an alternative 12 player mission - I have a good one in mind on Occasus...

For everyone: please post below where you would like to be slotted.
am going to be avaibel this sunday(if the plane arives in time :Smile) so a could take the medic slot(was quite some time since last time) or if no one else will i take a squad to.
i'll go for:

Senior rifleman (GP-25 grenade launcher) - squad leader

sorry but i couldn't  resist grabbing that nade launcher.....
Count me in, but I will decide spontaneously what slot I take, depending on what is needed the most.
I also studied the mortar tutorial, so that's +1 on the list of potential mortar operators (if you trust me  Tongue)
Fraid I couldn't commit to joining this time.  Sad

If I end up coming, I'll do like Hawke and grab whatever slot seems useful.  Wink

Rgr, I put you in Gum's group as crewman, but as you say slot in what's needed later.
Ill join the same team with gum and Hawke:
Antiarmour Specialist (RPG-27)
...if nothing else is needed more

Tough weekend ahead, but ill try to be there on sunday!
So i can take second Antiarmour Specialist (RPG-27)
in Alpha Orange: Callsign 11Bravo - Machinegun Squad

BTW. I spoke with North's ppl and they want to slot whole Antitank Squad and they asked to leave all slots from this squad for them... so other ppl shouldn't join to that squad  Smile
