You can remove/change weapons in the missions later.

No didn't mess with the WGL config at all. I guess then there is somewhere that the eventhandler needs to be added into the addon config..

UAV's are a good idea, there is a dragon one somewhere that I remember was very good and simple to use.

This is the FDF UAVs transplanted into WGL. Its just a beta atm, Im working on making it standalone, atm you have to overwrite wgl_veh_config.pbo, so best to make a back up. Also included in this is a quick conversion of the Lost Brothers Arab terrorists to WGL, with groups set up in such a way that they resemble a generic Taliban structure.

UKF infantry and some ground vehicals setup as a standalone addon for WGL. Shouldn't overwrite any WGL files, and is as bug free as I can manage.

Also included is a standalone UAV pack. It features the UAVs from FDF, but with specialised operators, the only units who can use them for US, UK and Russia.

Im working to convert a couple of missions to use these units, bear with me, it shouldnt take long.

EDIT: I mucked up, you need to overwrite wgl_ukf with this version:

I accidentally gave the Javelin ammobearers 2 Javelin each, meaning it CTDs when you try to use them. But with this file its fixed.

Could You provide a list of addons that are required to play this? It seems to me, that JAM and facetex2 are required. Also, the SAS LRDG Sniper unit and some other units do not seem to load properly, which is most likely connected to the addon problem.

It looks like MJ used some models from Sanctuary's WW4 pack.

Sorry about that, I completely forgot I used them for my snipers. At this moment in time, Im working on an update to these, which should make it more interesting to use different troops, giving each set slightly different weapons. An example of this would be me giving the Marines HK416s instead of SA80s.

I have also, just this very minuite, found the script I need to edit to get rucksack weapons to work properly. Meaning I can switch to using custom made ruck packs rather than the next best.
Royal Marines use HK416s? I heared the Army is planning to switch to modified Multicam Uniforms but British armed forces using HK416 is new to me.

The Marines are using HK417s as DMRs and Im pretty sure that they have trialed 416s, so I figured it would make it a bit more interesting. Cant have 3 seperate groups all armed the same, that would be boring.

This problem is driving me nuts again. I'm experimenting with adding 3rd party vehicles to WGL and as long as I use WGL weapons and ammo tracers and cloudlets show up but as soon as I extend those WGL (weapon) classes no tracers show up.
By now I figured out that there are arrays with weapon types in wglevents.pbo which control the FX effects in the eventHandlers but I can't backtrace the list for vehicle machineguns. The valid weapon class names aren't listed anywhere in the wglevents.pbo ...

I'm also looking for a way to extend/overwrite the wglevents.pbo to add 3rd party weapon and ammo classes to the FX eventhandlers. Overwriting the actual wglevents.pbo is not a nice option and having a seperate xyevents.pbo for the 3rd party addons will waste (a small - but bearable? - amount) of system resources I reckon.
What you need somewhere is a script which runs on init of a unit which includes 

[tt]WGLMGTypes = WGLMGTypes + ["weapon1","weapon2"][/tt]

where weapon1 and 2 are the names of the weapons you want to add. I haven't test this on the MGs, but its part of how I got the rucks to work.

And Ive just got round to finishing what I hope will be the final version.

Major Changes:
Marines use L85A2s with ACOG sights. And HK417s as DMRs.
Combat Medics can't heal, just carry many bandages to stabalise for medivacs. There are medical officers who can heal though (Medical Officers are all fully qualified doctors in the British Army)
Reduced number of addons as much as possible.
Rucksacks have actual mags for various addon weapons now which work as normal mags do.
Also included, ACU uniform US soldiers and a set of generic middle eastern rebels.

Credits go to the makers of the addons, I just config'd it. Frakking configs.
Any suggestions welcome.

Note, why the heck did the fix to the last version get 8 downloads, but the actual thing itself only get 2?
After only 7 days I decided that it needs an update. It fixes some broken stuff, and also add vehicles. The only problem I have left is no tracers on the vehicle MGs
