Orders from Company Commander

Situation
Enemy: Dug in motorized infantry forces guarding the Capital City of Lipany and Gubas headquarter.

Friendly: A small Resistance Team lead by Victor Troska is about to engage Lipany from the north west. Two teams managed to infiltrate nearby locations to be ready to "support" the attack. USMC Team (Callsign Calliope) established a small camp in Bor. SF Team (Callsign Venus) is waiting at feature 108 south of Lipany. Resistance will support with some light armored vehicles and a light infantry group.

Civilian: Friendly. All remaining Civilians are hiding by the russian occupiers. It is not likely that any civilians will be on the open street once the attack begins.

Mission
Team Calliope and Team Venus have to make sure, that the attack of the resistance will be a full success. It is very important to save Troskas live! Secondary objective is to get Guba dead or alive before he can escape from the village. We wont get such a good chance twice!

Execution
The Resistance attack will beginn at 08300. Calliope and Venus are beginnig to move towards the town at 08100 to clear the way for the Resistance Teams. Most dangerous threat are the three fortifications guarding the city. Each of them have 3 to 4 static MG´s and AT-Infantry.

Resistance infantry team is moving from feature 151 towards the northern fortification. Once the vicinity is clear, they will call in their backup squad to secure this perimeter. Afterwards they will continue on to the center of the town to liberate the capital, this is vital for the resistance propaganda!

Once the enemy is alerted and Guba will feel not secure enough, he will try to escape out of the town with his waiting chopper in the south west of the town. Make sure to be in a position to prevent this movement when possible!

Admin & Log
Weapons and ammo: SF Force has 2 LAW´s and 6 rounds extra in a cache nearby for the expected light armor around the town. USMC has a cache of medium and far range weapons to be able to support from uphill.

We are not officially on this Island, so make sure to stay in the background as much as possible! It is vital for the propaganda, that the news will report a "Resistance victory"! USMC are not allowed to move inside the red marked area on your maps. SF are allowed to move inside town but pull out once the resistance team is moving in.

Med plan: Your platoon carries field dressings and has an organic medic. A combat medic is also located with the resistance support team.

Intel suggestions: We suggest you to use Team Calliope to neutralize the fortifications west and north and overwatch Victors way to the first stronghold. Team Venus should move inside the town quick from the southern edge. Our local information sources reported, that the southern road can be used to come close to the enemy psoitions without beeing spotted. While USMC can provide long range fire from the west, SF can clear out the town and secure Victors way from the stronghold to the centre.

Stay undetected as long as possible and synchronise your first strike!

I'll take Scout force, Squad leader.

Also can you please post the briefing again below but without the picture, somehow the size of the image has screwed with the text and I can't read all of it...
Hey,

7: Scout Force, Recon plz.

Thank you.
Ill take the 240 please.
Who's going to be the platoon commander? Me or Marto?

Either way, I suggest that we do as the briefing suggests and "use Team Calliope to neutralize the fortifications west and north and overwatch Victors way to the first stronghold. Team Venus should move inside the town quick from the southern edge." Black ops team should probably bypass the southwestern fortification. When last we played this, I led the southern squad, and for some reason I decided to attack the fortification and it didn't go so well.

Now how are the Marines going to neutralize two fortifications? We'll have to focus fire on those heavy MGs, obviously. It'll be even worse if they have armor support. Can you tell us what sort of "medium and far range weapons" we have, Tony?
Hola,

USMC´s have a crate containing m82 and 249para´s (with optics) at their disposal.

you hardly cant set up one High-Command leader in this one. The two leaders have to operate on their own on the one side, but on the other you have to synchronize your attack very sharp to be able to get Guba in time. When one group is alerting the enemy too early, the chances for Guba to get away are quite high... I think the two leaders should make their decissions about their best way in and then they have to communicate their timetable ;-). So its: Make your way to ambushpoint quick, attack at the same time, push on to the target! Easy, isnt it? :-) And now up with the plans gentlemen :-)!
Thanks for the info Tony.

What I plan for my squad to do is hit the western fortification straight from the west, killing the heavy MG gunners with heavy sniper rifle & our own machine guns. We'll see if enemy machine gunners have been scripted to re-occupy their weapons. If not, then we'll disengage to the north and attack the northern fortification. Otherwise, we'll just have to wipe out everyone at the western fortification at once, then move northeast to the other fortification.

Frankly I expect casualties in my squad to be heavy, since we'll be outnumbered, attacking enemy fortifications. I'll hold the LAAD gunner in reserve a bit behind us so he's ready to shoot down that chopper, and his missile won't be left next to someone's body in no-man's land.

Synchronizing our attacks seems like the best way to go. If it weren't for the fact that we had to keep Victor alive, then I'd advocate my squad attacking first, pulling enemies to the north of the town and allowing the Black Ops squad to attack the enemy rear. But we have to keep Troska alive, so drawing enemy forces to the north would not be a good idea, especially since we already have two enemy fortifications in Troska's way.

Any thoughts Marto? 8)
I would like scout recon #6

_Siil

Sign me up for anything
I´ll sign ypu in as LAAD Gunner then, Siil
I'll take Alpha Black 4.

Edit: Time change and other circumstances will keep me from playing today, much to my dismay.

Edit 2: Please, forgive me for cutting out abruptly, earlier - I had a family emergency that required my immediate attention at that point.

Maybe we'll get some AARs?
