I guess Sithis won't answer,  he is at the baltic sea with his girlfriend
Good luck with your exam unnamed. I hope that means you'll be back in the air soon? Smile

Looks like it's only two people today, I'll see that I have something ready for that. Any aircraft requests misha?
No preferences, could be A-10C, Huey, Su-25, F-15, even MiG - 21 or Sabre.
Sorry, will be late half hour!
I make a mission or two -- probably be a bit late also
Cool, I'm just finishing up a helo mission. I'll add another chopper for Etzu.

I also thought we could try the cargo feature for the choppers. I'll read up on it but it seems like it's similar to sling loading in arma...
The BMP destroyed us all.

Hello airplane people. I will likely be back next week and I still got around 4 missions left.
How was your flight yesterday and who wants to fly next week?
We started with an A10 mission from the DCS site. It was basically like Lost Squad, we had to find a downed pilot and secure the crash site until the evac helo arrived. The mission was well made and pretty good. We aborted after finding the pilot though, the helo's ETA was 1 hour...

After that we played a Search and Rescue mission I put together an hour before. On scout (SA342L), a CAS (UH-1 gunship) and a medevac (UH-1 transport) were tasked to find the crew of a downed helo and bring them home. Unfortunately the balancing was off. Somehow a single BRDM shot us all down. That was a bit suprising since I made a mission a while ago where I had a single UH-1 destroy 4 BTRs in one try. Maybe the open terrain or the time of day (sun still up) made a difference? I'll try to rebalance the mission and shorten the approach time so we can give it another shot sometime.

After that Etzu had to leave, Misha and I tested a work-in-progress mission of mine (thanks Misha!). It's a mission with helos (convoy escort) and A10s (patrol/CAS). My intention is to make a mission that keeps both the helo and the fixed-wing pilots busy and creates situations that require both working together. Anyways, we only tested the helo part, turns out the convoy is somewhat overpowered (to the point where the helo-escort seems kinda superfluous...)
So yeah, some balancing issues. More disconcerning however is that a couple triggers and scripts didn't work properly even though I had no problems when testing them alone. I'll try to figure it out, we'll see when it's ready for a real play-through.

Due to last coop night's terminator-BRDM I've re-tried that fight with both an UH-1 gunship and a Gazelle in CAS configuration. I've managed to destroy 4 BRDMs at once with each helicopter on an open field and in broad daylight.
I tried to stay as low as I could during the fight and minimize the time at wich I flew directly towards the targets. I closely circled around them and attacked one at a time. This way I was in range of their guns almost all the time but minimized the time at which they could shoot straight at me.
I did take some hits in both cases, but survived. I will leave the enemies and helos in the search and rescue mission as they were, since I'm convinced that it's doable (do-able... doble...dobleble...?). I'll shorten the approach to the AO though and maybe add a view triggers for radio chatter and auto-flaring/smoking.

Also I wont be flying on the next two saturdays, I'll be at a conference in Anaheim and wont come back until the 1st of Auguts.
Anybody up for some flying this weekend??

I am,  I set up everything yesterday
Manuel, I don't see any of the images you posted.
I'll join in, but I'll be a bit late (45 mins or so)

Thanks for letting me know, it looked fine to me, never would have noticed...

I'll look into it, must be some issue with the "file-privacy" settings
