it's pretty cool actually. Not-obvious steps are in bold.


1. Weapon the Javelin tube
2. "Load CLU" from action menu
3. Look through CLU
4. Switch to thermals
5. Locate your target
6. Zoom in on your target
7. The picture will minimize, you will see a bounding box around the target indicating the lock, and a lock tone will sound.
8. Launch the missile.

*Press the TAB key (ACE default) to change between DIR (direct) and TOP mode. The side of the "hud" indicates the current mode
*As a bonus, the CLU itself can be used as Thermal optics, with zoom
*ACE Javelins can target any heat signatures, including infantry

Press the TAB key to change between DIR (direct) and TOP mode. The side of the "hud" indicates the current mode.

Note that you have to select the Javelin pipe, not the CLU, then reload it (or use the action menu) to ready the weapon.
