Just noticed this on SimHQ:

I didn't read much of this thread, so excuse me if this is already mentioned. I thought this could help someone.
Yeah I'm using that (see my last post). I have to say it's the first time I have a true surround feeling when playing.
It's easy to set up  and install. However, it's annoying to have the synapse application running, and it has to run all the time in order for the surround feature to work.

That's where a Razer mouse comes in handy with all the macros you can make for it Wink Especially the Naga with 12 keys on the side, I use them for looking around and PTT in-game and tons and tons of other things, shift modifers and ctrl modifiers and you basically have everything you want right next to your thumb (though I admit I'm way too lazy to set it up right)

Though, I really only use the Razer Surround for an equalizer that works for everything, I had good surround even before then, but ah, the surround emulation really DOES help.

I had a X-Fi Titanium with CMSS-3D and oh boy was that fucking amazing compared to the awful onboard audio I had at the time, though I got some pretty bad mic squealing with the sound card, I just used onboard for the mic Smile
I'm sticking to normal stereo sound.. I'm using a Line 6 UX2 external soundcard and AKG 242 HD headphones. I like the true to source sound they give me. I'm not a big fan of super bassy Beats by Dr Dre sound lots of people seem to prefer. Crisp and clear is my melody.
And it's really cool with the illuminated analog meters. Of course, had it been only for gaming I would probably have picked a different setup.

Damn Llauma, we have to get you a mic.
If you don't want to replace your headphones with a headset, see the previous posts for a standalone quality mic that attaches to the headphone cord.

I'm doing some soldering now. I had to cut the cord and now I'm putting it all together again. Though I wont be able to play neither tomorrow or Thursday due to work.

Sweet, just soldering a mic into your headset? Pretty nice Smile
I actually thought about mashing in a tiny mp3 player, there seems to be lots of room for it in the Siberia V2's Smile
