Full Version: Hostage Rescue (need opinions)

Hey guys, I'm planning on making a little hostage rescue version of my sketchy factory mission. Here's a few things I did and I got a few questions before going on.

I group everyone in one same group instead (names are still Red Team, Blue Team, Gold Team <for the sake of hostage rescue script not breaking on me I grouped everyone in one group>).

Now the questions I have.

Should the hostage be executed upon detection?
One of my fear would be the AI get alerted way too easily.

Should the hostage be executed only when executioner is alerted?
I'm not sure what's the alert radius is if I put just one executioner but the moment he goes into Danger mode, he'll execute hostage. If I do this, I rather put him by a window to get sniped out but that would limit where I will put hostage.

Should I just leave the hostage alone and not have him get executed or shot at unless you ask him to join your team to extract?
This would probably be the easiest way.

Next qusetion.

When should reinforcements come?

Should reinforcements come X minutes (probably 10 minutes or something <For example: motorboat full of terrorists or truck full of terrorists>) after detection?

Should reinforcements come after you save the hostage?

Should reinforcements come after a little of both of the above?

I'll make tangos leave the buildings when hostage is getting his escort.

Not with ARMA. Since stealth hardly works, and detection is final even if you immediately kill the guy, that would make the mission near impossible.

I like timed reinforcements better than kill-the-last-guy-to-trigger type of scenario, so yeah, I would put it on X minutes.

I thought so. I was thinking of not making the terrorists kill the hostage just for the sake that its Arma and stealth kills don't work.
