If you like AGEOD games, this is a steal. Their games aren't cheap by any means. This is AFAIK the first time, you can get most of their stuff almost for nothing. These games aren't for everyone though. The engine is ancient and in comparison, Paradox games are pretty mainstream. They are superhardcore historical operation (and above) level strategy games. As the Battlefront (the Combat Mission) games are hardcore in the real time tactical genre, these are similar in the turn based area. While CM games deal with the battles themselves, AGEOD games autoresolve battles, so you are tasked with strategy. All of the games are huge timesinks, but the historical accuracy is amazing.
EDIT: If you think about the Total War series, it is Hollywood candy in comparison.

Joint ops... I had some good times with that. But I don't think I convince any old friends to get this

My biggest issue right now with it is, I think there's only infinite respawn in coop for joint ops and all the delta force games : You can actually still play online too from Delta Force 2 - the latest Delta Force.
