Teamspeak Settings
  1. In TeamSpeak go to Tools > Options > Addons (side tab) > Plugins (upper tab) > and make sure ACRE2 plugin is enabled and TFAR plugin is disabled. You might have to select "Reload" first in the ACRE2 plugin to be able to enable it.
  2. Uncheck the box in Teamspeak that says "Delay releasing push-to-talk" (Options > Capture > Advanced Options)
  3. Do not use "Voice Activation Detection while using Push-To-Talk". This option is in your capture device settings under Advanced Options in your Teamspeak Client. If it is checked you won't be able to transmit over the radio.

In-game control settings (Controls > Addons > ACRE2):
In game you will use three different keys to communicate. One "Push to talk" that you set in TeamSpeak. This is your direct proximity speech button. Two keys in the game under the ACRE settings. Map PTT1 to Caps Lock for example (default) and PTT2 to something else. Note that all three keys need to be different.  PTT1 is the one you will use for short range radio and PTT2 is for long range radio but you only have one of those if you are a team leader.
Therefore do the following mappings:
  1. Radio 1 Transmit (PTT1) - Caps Lock recommended
  2. Radio 2 Transmit (PTT2) - Ctrl+Caps Lock recommended
  3. Unmap "Active Radio Transmit"
  4. Map direct speech volume control to something easily accessible
Arma3Sync users be advised: By using Arma3Sync, Arma will always run as admin. This means you will also have to run TeamSpeak as admin to avoid issues with ACRE.
since I ran into that issue I'll post it here:
Do not use "Voice Activation Detection while using Push-To-Talk". This option is in your capture device settings under Advanced Options in your Teamspeak Client. If it is checked you won't be able to transmit over the radio.
Thanks Verstanden, OP edited!
