It would be a good idea to update on the current version running on server to prevent confusions.
(on the Home page "Stay Updated" section)
Now I have Build 579 , 2012-10-27,
Hope this is the one (just updated from Six updater now).

I just noticed a new version of ACE is available (1.14rc1 IIRC). Which version is installed on the server? I don't want to have to quit again Wink

Just tried it, started the ACE server and ran a mission. No error message. I have ACE r580, but it seems to be compatible Smile

Which means, I'll join this evening

You should also add ACRE there guys. You will not be able to use VON + usual TS3 anymore after that.

And are you using CAA1 with or without ACE fix (the one that removes ACE's balaklavas from some community made soldiers that shouldn't have them)?
Asking because I have CAA1 with ACE fix and don't really fancy installing another 2.5 gigs of CAA1 to play if you can understand my pain Wink

But the link is dead now so I can't say which exact files in my CAA1 folder were affected by it
I bet it was just oac_core.pbo since apart from GLT fixes it's the only file from 2010.

It's not signed though but I guess I can just use the original one from CAA1 if you won't sign/use it on your server.

I wonder if these weapon configs for ACE might be of interest for Fridays, although maybe only the Lingor Units one as we don't use any of the Weapons Packs? http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=14400

Is it better than the default configs? or is it a "new broom - a good broom" kinda thing?
By the way doveman, I'm looking for a way to have the same ptt for different uses according to profile. no luck so far.

I get the impression it applies the changes made by ACE to the vanilla weapons to those in the weapons packs as well (including Lingor Units) so that they're consistent

I'm not sure what this means but I presume it's saying that the weapons have associated RoF and engagement ranges, which the AI will observe when using those weapons, which again ACE will have changed for the vanilla weapons but not for those in weapons packs

As for having the same PTT for different uses according to profile, are you talking about the TS3 PTT? If so, that shouldn't be a problem as you can go to Options - Hotkeys and select a profile (or create one if you need to) and set whatever keys you like for that profile. So for example, I have Push to Whisper set to ` for my CIA profile and no key at all assigned to that function for the other profiles, which I use on servers where Whisper isn't used.
