People connecting without needed addons - Legolasse - 10-25-2012

People connecting without the needed addons is getting a bit annoying. It really should not be difficult to read the needed addons page and download the things you need. Specially when the Tuesday and Sunday addons haven't changed in months.

It just wastes everyone's time when we need to switch missions when someone has not bothered to download all the addons. I would understand if that would happen from time to time with new players but usually it's the regulars that are (still) missing the addons.

Yes, we could just continue to play that mission but we select the missions based on how many players we have on TS and when half of them drop out we would need to switch the mission anyway.

So for everyone's sake check your addons for next gaming night you are coming to.

After posting this, I'm probably going to have something missing next time. Big Grin

Please leave your comment below and have a nice day. Smile

I agree, but I don't mind that much until we need to start to replay vanilla missions because of that.
And there has been new players on almost every night I've been there. But to think of it, after I've come back from a break from arma and join up, if I'm missing addons I just say that I'll get them and stop bothering other people... Just sayin'  :o

I take some of the responsibility for the frustration players feel about that. I kept on enabling guys without the addons by switching to vanilla missions, somewhat encouraging this phenomena.
Well, this calls for a policy change. We will refrain from switching a mission if just one or a couple of the players don't have the required addons. Of course that if many miss an addon we will be forced to switch due to the mission becoming too big in terms of available slots.
So please guys, just get the required addons. And if anybody needs help with that, let us know, we'll help!
