Depboing Someone Else's Campaign, Ethical or No? - Phantom - 02-16-2013

I see that there's some campaigns out there like Wolle's Delta force campaign that has the ability to played on MP, but it seems like if someone was to host via host button on campaign, it wouldn't work on server hosting. I'm wondering if it would be ethical to unpbo the campaign, grab the missions, rename them to a standard MP mission naming standard, and host them over on a server.

I'm wondering if there's a need to ask the author for permission if I want to do that or no?

Generally, you should always contact the author. And I'm sure you'll get permission, since you make their hard work even more useful.

If the author doesn't reply within an acceptable time, it's fine to put it on your server without redistributing it I guess.
