Never been a fan of the BF-series, at least not the gameplay. I got stuck with the OFP style of play.
Though as an action-packed FPS involving vehicles I fully understand why it appeals to the masses. BIS wouldn't stand a chance if they tried to compete with DICE/EA.

I'm not too big of a fan of BF3. I kind of like BF2, but its not my style of game either. Though it's nice to see they have commander mode back with those missile, artillery calling like back in BF2 again. Overall, that trailer looks pretty good in showing what BF4 got.
What BIS should do, is to stop trying to even attempt to compete with BF4 since ARMA is NOT BF. If ARMA attempts to compete with BF, it'd just all go bad. ARMA should stay ARMA, and with the direction of ARMA 3 on how its been with dumbing down medical system and such, it wasn't going the right way. Maybe you can call it, BF3 with an editor... (I forgot where I quoted that from).

The last battlefield I played was 1942, and that was quite a good game with the right people. But watching this trailer, All I can see is over the top explosions and destruction...

Actually as it is right now, the beta had more realistic weapons than ArmA 3 ._.

My son loves BF3 - I find it crazy manic. I like my FPS more in the Half -Life vein. For multiplayer give me the strategy of Arma/OFP any day. But I do find the camouflage/uniforms, etc in Arma 3 really annoying. (and I'm an S-F fan from way back.)
