Falling Skies

In early 2019, China, North Korea and Russia, including some middle eastern countries, signed a mutual defense treaty as a counterweight to NATO.  As a result of rising tension between the US and North Korea, the president of the United States ordered a strike on North Korea, to give 'little rocket man a bloody nose'.

Of course, the treaty called for retaliation in case of an attack on a member state, much like NATO, so China and Russia entered the war on North Korea's side. The United States mainland fell two years later under the pressure of the mighty People's Liberation Army, the Russian Federation forces, and the use of  thermonuclear weapons.

Today, in 2021, Europe is still a battlefield, but the US mainland is occupied.

Charleston wants to send reinforcements and supplies up the Housatonic, but we have no idea if there is an enemy presence on the southern shore. We need intel, and that's the subject of today's mission.
