So apparently 1155 is out and 1150 is in. I need a new motherboard and CPU combo recommendation and please not one that will go ancient in a year. Budget below 500€.
Pcpartpicker.com is your friend. All the parts with price are listed in rows sorted by price. They also show how the price of a particular part has changed over the past year in a graph.

That's the Canadian PPP.

He's in Slovenia(?) so it won't be too useful.

At this budget Outlaws, You could get a 1150 i7 4790k (8 Threads/Hyperthreading) + Z97 Mobo at probably close to 500 euros or if you wanted an i5 4690K (4 Threads) (What I have). Not sure on Slovenia's retailers so consult your local websites.

For gaming alone, not many games benefit from >4 threads so i5 is better choice due to cheaper price but depends if you do other work loads on your computer and if you would benefit from the extra threads.

If you're into overclocking a cooler could be useful too. Overclocking article:

Also new intel CPUs (Broadwell/Skylake) supposedly arrive during the summer which you could wait for depending on your urgency and need.

I wouldn't recommend AMD CPUs at this point in time unless you can get it really dirt cheap.
Well, I only need a new CPU because my current i5 3570K is on 1155 socket and I mainly do gaming, so I guess I'll stick to i5.
1150 was out in 2013 or in, and unless your motherboard died, I can't recommend spending 500e on 1150+processor for a very slight performance boost compared to your current processor. Not to mention that it seems like skylake will require new socket anyway, and might be released during this year.

Even if your motherboard died, better buy some cheap one and wait for now  Smile
I guess I'll wait, almost used to utter crap gfx now.  Tongue
Any links about these new CPUs coming out?

I5 4690K does not fit in the 1155 socket. It is also 1150 socket like the i7 4790K.

Yeah if he can wait for Skylake in the summer, it is supposed to be on a new 1151 socket. Alternatively 14nm die on Broadwell will be on the 1150 socket like Haswell.

General Wiki articles, but you should be able to search google for their names and will come up with news and such.

Maybe this is 'valid', http://wccftech.com/intel-confirms-skyla...2015-10nm/

What GPU Are you running outlaws?
I've only saw "leaked" information on some video, so it's nothing confirmed. But supposedly should come out this year, have less power consumption, and standard 10-15% faster, so nothing to hold your breath for/write home about. Unfortunately, unless amd steps up their game, intel is gonna continue with these 10% improvements each gen, and we will have a decent processor for arma 3 in about 10 years Smile

I'm not quite sure i've understood you why do you wanna change your cpu+mobo, but I guess if something is not working properly, you could buy new stuff, just keep in mind that current socket is not gonna last long.

Thoughts on this combo?

GA-78LMT-USB3 rev 5 AM3+ mATX
FX-6300, 3,5 GHz, AM3+
Don't do that because you'll be very disappointed if after Intel's move on to AMD's platform. But if you want to buy AMD you must look for MOBO with minimum 6+2  power phase.

edit: nvm
Agreed with Horus. Especially for Arma an Intel CPU is a must. AMD usually has more cores but the performance per core in Intel CPUs is better, and Arma has a hard time even using four cores properly.
