Some info on ace. - GG-Viktor Reznov - 07-12-2013

Quote:Like in the real life, taking certain gear with you in a vehicle is limited. While you would normally store a fully packed, 30kg rucksack either in your cars trunk or at least at the backseat of your car, ACE enforces players that crew vehicles to do the same.

Excluded from this particular limitation are players that simply board vehicles as passengers or cargo. This is in favour for gameplay and also due to some game limitations.

Jet Pilots

You are not able to take a rucksack or anything larger than a handgun with you into the cockpit.
Your weapon and  rucksack are stored in a bag outside of your aircraft.

Helicopter Pilots & Crew Chiefs (Doorgunners)

You are not able to take a  rucksack and anything larger than a carbine with you into the cockpit.
Your weapon and  rucksack is stored in the helicopters cargo hold.
Upon disembarking normally from the helicopter you are automatically grabbing your rifle. Your  rucksack , if any, can be retrieved from the cargo hold.

Exiting in an emergency situation (Ejecting) causes you to loose your gear, since you would not have the time to grab your gear from the  weapon mount and cargo slot.
According to this you may want to disembark normally if on ground instead of jumping out.

TIPS

Quote:Tips

In case you find this 'stupid' or in the worst case 'gamebreaking' because in Real Life you do everything you do with a huge packed rucksack on your back, here are some tips that might help you to circumvent some of these limitations:

- Store mission relevant weapons or items in the cargo area
- Learn to not EJECT from a vehicle but to DISEMBARK to retrieve your weapon back

MEDICAL

Quote:Bleeding / Bandaging
Requires Bandage or Combat Application Tourniquet
Bandaging does not heal, only stop bleeding
You can stop bleeding yourself when damage is under 30%
Someone else needs to bandage you when damage is over 30%
Movement and speed of movement increases blood loss (player-only atm)
Low blood pressure means unconsciousness. Need epinephrine
Blood loss from the actual bullet impact, next to the bloodloss over time from the wound.

Quote:Unconsciousness
Requires Epinephrine AND
Quote:Unconsciousness
Requires Epinephrine AND other treatments.
e.g.  An unconscious and bleeding soldier  also needs bandages and morphine.

There are more things to add as per the latest update but the forums are down and dont have access to that info just yet. Will update.

You can now stop casualties from going unconscious ONLY if the unconsciousness is induced by pain. If the casualty suffers from extreme blood-loss the stabilizing will not be successful.
The stabilizing takes 2 minutes for regular class player and way less time for medic class players.
Successfully stabilizing a casualty will remove the need for epinephrine (in order to make him wake up from unconsciousness) and reduce the current pain-level by 50% to prevent the casualty from going unconscious again.

In short: A casualty that is unconscious due to pain will gain back his consciousness. It takes relatively long, so do stabilize a casualty in a safe environment.

Thanks. That's helpful.
So I suppose the Osprey is considered a jet for the purpose of equipment when getting to pilot seat? You mentioned that some backpacks were created next to it when I tried to get inside, and there was nothing in its cargo bay (ACE interaction key).

Oh it was on ground outside of the helicopter. Im guessing the pilot slot cant put gear into cargo.
