But as many of you have mentioned, too many or complex scripts and/or triggers can cause lag along with too many units in the mission. Of course VD can play a trick or two.

Sorry for my inaccuracy, I know looping scripts often can be a better solution than triggers. My point was complex scripts (e.g. fire/smoke effects) or mod-related scripts (e.g. ECP) can be demanding.

Not everyone is hit by desync all at once, just selected players and their bandwidth is very, very low. This low bandwidth may account for why the server & client can't sync properly. That's true, that strange "bandwidth" in OFP seems to be related to clients upload bandwidth along with ping. Often affects players running P2P in background but also OS/AV updates. I strongly recommend everyone to shut down all kinds of "non-OFP" related programs when playing. AV update can be a bit risky to turn off (if you forgot to turn it on again) and not all can turn off win-update but everyone can turn off (or don't need to start) other types of programs. Ping can still be low but low outbound bandwidth will delay server I think.
I'm Norwegian, what's your excuse?
