I do quite a bit firearms instructing rl and spend hell of a lot of time to teach safe firearms handling and stuff like this makes me really annoyed. If you have really bad luck, you can have mechanical malfunction, but 99% of these are just blatant stupidity and ignorance.
Particularly guilty and irresponsible are people who lets their friends shoot their firearms without proper instruction first. Especially if you live in country where you can easily buy firearm, at least have decency to mix that freedom with equal responsibility.
Sigh.
Agreed. I mean, we're not talking about Rocket Science. Keep your muzzle pointed away from people. I freaked out at a guy during my army time who was pointing a gun at me, even though I knew it was not loaded. When our Sarge saw it, he nearly freaked out. "Never point a fucking gun at anyone unless you fucking plan to shoot them".
If you ask me, America in particular has an issue that goes beyond the guns itself. They have an obsession with them, and with violence. A hero is a guy with a pistol on his belt, or an assault rifle, not realizing that it isn't the weapon but the man that makes him a fucking hero. They are so obsessed with this image that they do absolutely stupid things.
I am serious, Americans should not be allowed to own guns. It's just too dangerous.
I don't need luck, I have ammo.
