Funny thing I was flying A-10C for so long that I forgot and maybe never learned what's the meaning of 70+ items in a start up procedure. So, when finally I had to use that knowledge I figured I can't do anything because following the list didn't teach me anything.
I liked the first A-10 mission, as close and personal as it can get with this kind of plane, and I am happy that I was never downed by the enemy. I would think they thought I was a lousy shooter so they didn't bother firing missiles at me.
However, upon RTB when I landed, I figured I just can't steer the plane, although steering worked just fine during the pre-takeoff taxiing. I had to park the plane on the side of the runway.
Next mission was also good and I am really enjoying flying Huey. Having said that, let me add that I have never flown combat missions in Huey before last two coops we had. So, this aspect of Huey is still new to me and a nice discovery.
Mission was very long and I had to quit somewhere in the middle. I think that there were too many enemies and distance the convoy had to cover was pretty long so even without enemies it would take more than an hour. It can get hard and certainly life expectancy for Huey's was short. I am suggesting lowering the amount of enemies or shortening the distance that convoy has to travel to increase realistic chances of survival. Respawning for 6-7 times made it unrealistic though there were many nice things going on, like escorting the convoy from up close and scanning ahead.
Looking forward to next Saturday. Now we are five, if we could get some other people from our player base that I know that play DCS we could be 7!
