I have settled on the http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=5908AT_GUI pack. I removed all of the other pbo's and left the compass enlarger.
I am quite happy with the results. I have been extremely hesistant to give contact reports and when I have, felt as if I was quite ineffective because I couldnt give a proper bearing quickly enough.

Now that I can clearly see, I hope to increase my effectiveness at spotting and reporting targets.

So you do not use the ShackTac HUD Vik? I find it much more challenging to play coop without it.

Is there a way to take off of ACE their giant compass and use it without ACE?

I don't know Viktor, those were probably missions where I had a scoped weapon. But be sure, that it happens a lot when other guys are shooting and I don't know what is happening

That would be very cool. I can actually read all the numbers with the ACE compass, whereas vanilla I kind've just have to infer the numbers based on the NSEW.

Holy crap that is a lot of improvements! Gonna have to install / activate quite a few of these as a lot of them are major irritants in playing the game.

The Kju compass doesn't work since one of the latest betas.

Careful with some of the addons. Some may have adverse effects server-wise and others may cause you to experience differently from others, thus causing confusion, and some may be considered "cheaty"

e.g. (cheaty?) Improved Ext Camera Position For Tanks, Enable Zoom For Binocular And Laserdesignator, Reduce Fatigue
