Tanks in joint operations with infantry are usually overpowered gameplay wise. Bravo was engaged only at one point and we didn't need to repair even once.
As the guy who made the mission, I thought it would be harder with ASR AI, but I guess the tank can take out the whole column by itself with little trouble (or was it the repair specialist keeping you alive?).
I didn't understand why Alpha went on foot to the ambush killzone, was there something amiss in the briefing? I intended both teams to ambush the tank column from the hill, where you had ammo and sandbags and we could have saved some time if we had Bravo's tank transport us to the next objective (it could carry all of Alpha) instead of sending it ahead and keeping it waiting for us to catch up.
Wait - can we transport troops in this tank? Or was there an APC?

Heavy casualties were caused because I thought we would be able to drive and cross the runway like cowboys. That didn't turn up to be a very good idea... I liked the part when we got in as gunners in the parked Kajmans and gunned down the remaining infantry.
As I mentioned on TS, not sure how you can fly all over Altis and locate targets in such bad weather and low visibility (and can you even take off with jets from AAC airstrip?)
(09-15-2014, 03:18 PM)Outlawz7 link Wrote:co10_strike_backThat's the crazy one with doveman taking us in with a helicopter and all the AI attacking us from all sides, and me desperately calling in supportive fire missions. We should have not engaged and remain undetected but I doubt even that would work given the amount of patrolling enemies. If there's something I hate is so many AI patrols in an open field. That's a prime example of a bad mission design. See Alwarren's thread for related discussion.
Which one was this? I completely blanked out.

Here's how I screwed up:
1. thinking we can be somehow stealthy ninjas and not alert the AI, just because the mission says so :
2. not shooting the guy that covered the approach of Team White while it could have been done safely
3. getting distracted by the game hint suggesting I send the explosive specialist to set charges on the boats and just walk away and see point 1.
4. not paying attention to how we moved - only after I died, I saw in spectator mode that two other guys got killed right next to me. One piece of cover = one guy, please.
Next time we just blow up that house up with the Titan. >
At that point we were split into two teams and advancing towards the building (good call). Team Yellow was the other team. The instinct at that point for team Yellow should have been to immediately storm the building once hearing that Team White was under fire. We did that eventually, but we were too late (AND got shot by a guy clipping through the wall, but that's a different issue).

Team red was positioned on a hill at a rather safe distance that didn't made them too accurate but allowed them to draw the enemy fire and suppress the infantry in the research station. Team blue was taking advantage of the confusion and fought its way into the base, fighting and placing charges on all the trucks, moving from dome to dome. I guess at that point we should have split to two teams and finish the job in half the time.
Went well, liked the G3/AK74 loadouts, I think the Rambo factor in Psycho revive was set too high, I absorbed several bullets without a scratch before I needed healing.
I do not share your concern about how many times you got hit and survived, considering how much the AI can absorb before dropping and considering that we carry (keramic?) body armor. This thing can absolutely protect the torso from multiple hits.
