We did receive a warning (again, from HQ) that the tanks are approaching us. In such case there's no reason to believe that they will just drive away. Maybe in real life, not much in a game
The information was relayed but the chain of event was so fast that I think in such cases the local team leader should just overrule and order his guys to fire.
