I doubt I would ever have seen any enemy infantry on this mission without NVG. I guess I could just put them on once they start shooting at me but that gives them the advantage. Apparently it was possible to fire the AA without using the sights and losing the night vision though and it still locked on to the target (do you have to press a key to do that or is it automatic with those weapons?) so I'll either try that next time or just remove the NVG when there are air targets around, so that I don't have to keep changing between night vision and normal when I go into the sights.
