I just wanted to write a quick recap of my friendly fire incident during Winter's road last saturday:
First of all sorry to the whoever was on the receiving end.
We (alpha and bravo) were at the old industrial complex. We did have info about possible friendlies nearby. After seeing a lot of artillery shells going down around us I must have mentally scratched the possibility of friendlies beeing alive there.
Unfortunatelly Alpha had somebody still out there, which I wasn't aware of. Beeing pretty twitchy after the explosions and an Mi8 flying overhead I was in "shoot-first-ask-later" mode when those people from Alpha finally returned.
Lessons learned? No "shoot-first-ask-later" I guess, and don't focus to much on one event in expense of overall situational awareness.
