Negades Virus
Mission was a nice moody combined arms op against relatively light opposition.
This time I was a medic under Valhalians competent leadership with Evans and Manuel. Medicwise there was very little to do. I cured one diver with a broken nail and runny nose that was about it. During transit my team secured roadsides/buildings, and moved up the hill with rest of the teams. Breaching the data center was less eventful of us. At this point we lost Outlawz and Freeman took over.
We got to some action in town as we provided overwatch/supported other teams busy with the laptop. I stayed back as the big mean ugly grunts of my team brought the violence to the enemy. In town I got to two firefights, two bursts, two t's down.
I didn't mind lack of direct action (I was a medic anyway) It was fun to listen command grid and hear teams doing their parts. We had plenty of support, AH99 and Marshal. That packs a lot of firepower. Flipside is, if vehicles are doing their job properly there's always less job for infantry. Now it was ok. Vehicles dealt with long range threats and infantry mopped town/base.
Deciding factor
I had a typo in Zeus unit so my divine interface refused to open. All my planned sadistic surprises went down the drain. I was demoted to lowly grunt and joined Manuals team on ground until American tank turned us to ketchup.
Harvest Glow
I really liked the map and mission setup was basically good, save long and uneventful foot march to objectives. Opposition was relatively light and I would have assumed the villa would have been defended more heavily. I had still plenty of work as machine gunner. Great leading Den and Alwarren. Always pleasure.
Breaking the line
After two failed attempts due bonehead helicopter third time was the charm with divine assistance. Varanon was in command of Alpha, I took lead of Bravo. I got very clear orders from my superior (Varanon) and my team did solid job.
I liked weather/milieu. Driving the boat in heavy sea state was fun and it was quite atmospheric experience. Sweeping the island was bread and butter infantry job. My team had one tougher firefight and Variable's medical talents kept us going.Â
Final objective was very lightly defended. I was preparing my team for brutal CQB assault but it turned out Alpha had already cleared compound. We set charges, did our job, and boss was pleased. Nice mission and look forward to more from the author.
