Usually I hate being micro-managed, but this time it worked out perfect, since Variables intended route for us lead us straight into the enemies flank. From there it was smooth sailing. Very action packed and everybody on my team was quick to react.
That's the case for any route I mark, it's there to serve as a general indication for the ordered team, and to the rest of the units to remain aware of the plan and possible positions of friendly units. Not a specific line to walk on. The actual movement needs to be adjusted according to enemy actions, terrain, visibility, etc. Just to remove any doubt...
