You'll be missed, but congratulations in advance on your advancement  ;D

Damn I know that feeling. I had the whole BEF squad disappear on me as well. They were great guys...

For me, I had a friend who would not shut up about OFP, kept on with really cool stories about the game. Then probably in about 2005, I saw a copy on a trip into PC World, bought it, played the first couple of missions and on the first combat mission I realised that this was a game where you don't win missions, you survive them. And honestly, I really loved that, and from that point I was addicted. It only got worse when I discovered mods and then multiplayer. I skipped ArmA 1 because of lack of a computer capable of playing it, and then only got into ArmA 2 in 2010 when I got a laptop capable of playing it. Since then, my overriding aim when buying new hardware has been "Is this useful for ArmA?"
Lead me, Follow me, or Get out of my way.

Some top stories in this thread. Quite a rookie to the series.

Late 2012 started to play Arma 2 Free client casual multiplayer like Wasteland. DayZ Mod was also picking up popularity so I then jumped into Arma 2 Combined Ops/DayZ Mod in Early 2013.

I played DayZ mod up until I came across CiA probably back in 2014~ from a BI Twitch stream.

Lots of memorable moments in Arma3 are with you guys. Too many to pick up just one, but usually when something silly, an huge explosion or something unexpected happens. From recently we picked up a few, like driving on top of the enemy BMP or the long snake (convoy) explosion the other night and then the chain of events, stabilising injured Alwarren (no medics available), loading him up in the car, driving away from heavy enemy fire, then later the Mi8 engaged the car he was left in and we fired 3 AA rockets at it to blow it up. There were also missions (maybe a stag one) that I remember (Prince of Persia 4??) where we have to escape from stratis before we get blown up.

Another top experience is geniunely the love shown by the CUP team for porting the A2 assets over to A3. As someone who missed out on A2 days, to use these is huge! <3.

I've picked up close to 4000 screenshots of different moments on my disk.
