Not everyone is a Tier One Special Forces operator in a dangerous mission behind enemy lines. Serving in the armed forces is more than a constant firefight. Soldiers train, maintain their equipment, wait, wait some more, and even in 2035, they march. On foot.
As tensions in Pacific grows, US and allied forces are flown to Tanoa to practice deployment of Rapid Deployment Force. Unscheduled exercise will hopefully serve as a show of force. For you, however, it means 10 kilometer LOADED FOOT MARCH in FULL COMBAT KIT. Royal Marines call it yomp. Other Brits call it tab. You call it bad luck for not enlisting to Navy.
Dump 15,000 USD night vision to ground to make your pack lighter? Don't even think about it. Infractions are rewarded with 10kg AT mine to perpetrators backpack. Make sure you have plenty of water and plenty of bad puns for the road...
