So I was running Google Chrome together with ArmA3, listening to music on YT and working on a mission when the screen went to black and the sound cut off. I pressed the power button for a moment and then the reset button, after which nothing happened for a few seconds, then the computer shut down and started up again instead of restarting.

I found two errors relevant in the Event Viewer, one saying "The previous system shutdown at 11:13:44 on ?22.?3.?2015 was unexpected." and "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." a.k.a. Kerner Power crash, although this one's details were different from the Kerner Power errors from a month ago when my PSU was dying.

I suspect the error was caused by me pressing the buttons rather then the PC itself, but a month after I replaced the PSU and spent a day trying to figure out what caused Dx11 crashes I find this hard to dismiss. Any ideas where to look?

Happened again 4 hours after first time.
I have had problems with YouTube and Arma 3 before, and VLC always crashes when I start Arma... So might be Arma being Arma again...
I Googled a bit and found a result for 'black screen, no sound, Steam game' combo, thread suggested verifying game cache, I did and some files had to be reacquired.

I've run Chrome and ArmA3 together since ArmA3 came out, weird that this combination would be a cause.
It's not Chrome, I ran ArmA3 without anything running in the background and still got a black screen.

Why does this shit happen whenever I have time to make missions...
Have you tried to increase slightly core voltage?
CPU or GPU?

I haven't done any overclocking, are the apps that do OC any good?
OC'd core voltage by +12

Also crashed on Insurgency, barely a minute into the game.
ok but which model you have MSI Gaming or Asus DirectCU II OC or........
The box it was in says ASUS

edit: Asus GeForce GTX 770 2GB, PCI-E (GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5)
That card have new bios from 20.08.2014. If you don't have that bios try to update maybe fix your problem  Big Grin

Maybe look for new bios for GPU on the Asus website, and check if card uses some kind of custom display driver that has to be downloaded from there.
