Oh that's actually a good concept!
Hostage mission where a player is a captured hostage while the team rescues him. Setcaptive true turns to setcaptive false when the hostage is more than 10m away from the gunmen or picks up a gun/item.


The hostage/hostages has to follow the captors in a convoy? and stay near or he will get shot at. Mission fails if hostage dies.

I need an idea for a coop campaign. Seriously, anything, I can't think of one on my own, I always revert to something that already exists like Fuiba's PMC Versus or ArmA SP campaigns.

I think that what sets missions in coop campaigns from regular standalone missions is the story. A mission has more sense if it's a part of something rather than just another 'go there kill that'.

I used to think up elaborate backgrounds for my ArmA2 ACR missions, but that took me too much time.

I'm also stuck with what addons to use, should I use Altis, AIATP islands or the A2 islands we added, should I use RHS or CUP or massi etc.
I have ideas. I'll draft a few ones and send them over.
Syrian rebellion campaign, centered around a small group of rebels from forming up to a final attack on a significant target. Would be awesome if put together nicely.
Team 1>Dive team
Team 2>Fire team


Team 1>Swim to island and steal attack boat
Team 2>Attack airfield and steal HIND
Team 1>Disable AA at location X
Team 2>Attack location X with HIND and transport infantry
Team 1 and Team 2> Clear location X and defeat reinforcements(mobile AA included)




A while back on another thread i was talking about breaking down mission objectives with a simple model like how i did the above to ease the mission objective
design process.
The enemy is developing combat physiological enhancing chemical agents against the geneva convention of 2050. UN sends in their forces to the secret research facility on the lonely island of Altis to stop this illegal operation.

The soliders face enemy forces with enhanced SUPERHUMAN physical abilities.

-health regeneration scripts for enemy forces
-immunity to bullets
-super speed
-Giant boss enemy with super powers inside the research facility
A very quick and fun mission that can be made in 30 mins for 90mins of fun.


Premise: Your whole group of 16 players has to transit along a road on a long drive because high command has recommissioned your squad to another base.


Mission: There are only 2 vehicles to drive in, 1 unarmed hunter and 1 uncovered truck, all of you have to pile in and drive to the base. There will be enemies and light ambushes along the way but no AT. The truck is for firing from vehicles gameplay while driving and the hunter is to carry supplies. You may need to disembark and engage the enemy from time to time along the journey so enjoy the scenic countryside and Altian weather. There will be repair specialists in the group to fix the wheels.


Alternate version: Include AA missile specs. for helicopter chase? UGV to take front position?

What will I have to do to get a lost squad-ish mission with littlebird? Low flying, multiple extraction runs. More consideration into landing zones would be needed, like securing a compound and holding it. Not just get to highest hill and wait for chopper

Would be nice with a  non-military mission. Something like a gang war in kavala, handguns and smgs only. Just to switch it up

I actually thought about that before (when I made avengeance needle <thanks for the recording Alias>)... but I decided to add big bombs. I actually thought gangsters and drivebys are nice too, but pistols didn't work with Psycho Revive, but no need for revive if its quick and painful (the revolver mission I made nice and simple). Though I still need gang wars. Oh, it'd be nice to use some Uzis in a warehouse. Reminds me of Nico Belic getting ambushed by what's his name again in GTA 4 then Little Jacob came to the rescue.


Can you shoot out of the SUVs and stuff now? I remember after they add shoot out of vehicles, I think we can shoot out of SUVs? o_O
